Dietitians use their knowledge and skills in practice which they impact the nutrition of patients, where they influence the health of the community by influencing the patients' views on food and nutrition.

The Dietitian will provide each one of the patients with individualised medical nutrition therapy; through long-term behaviour changes and self-management of treating their disease through nutrition. 

A Dietitian provides services for:

  • Management of chronic diseases: diabetes, cardiovascular disease, hypercholesterolemia, hypertension
  • Weight management
  • Digestive disorders- coeliac, IBD and IBS
  • GORD/Heartburn
  • Food intolerances and allergies
  • Elimination diets including FODMAPs
  • Fussy eaters
  • Osteoporosis/arthritis
  • Nutrient deficiencies
  • Disordered eating behaviours 

The Dietitian understands that each one of us has a unique and varied relationship with food. She also understands that there are many factors that influence the food choices we make and takes those into consideration when discussing your dietary needs with you. 

Accredited Practising Dietitians are the gold standard in Australia as neither ‘Dietitian’ or ‘Nutritionist’ are protected or regulated.

Our Dietitian, Hayley graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics and is a member of the Dietitians Association of Australia and is equipped with up to date evidence-based nutrition and dietary knowledge and works to translate nutrition science into understandable information to her patients regarding food allowing them to make appropriate food and lifestyle choices. 

Hayley wholeheartedly believes in treating the patient, not just the disease. She is passionate about the prevention of disease state through nutrition and accepts that there is an array of contributing factors to the way our bodies respond to what we eat from genetics and hormones right through to the psychological aspects.

Hayley helps clients to take a step back and look at their lifestyles enabling them to focus on the how/why and when they choose the foods they do. 

Hayley provides a patient-centred approach; she will work alongside you and at your pace to make nutrition-related goals that are sustainable and of equal importance to you.

A Dietitian always works in close collaboration with your GP.
